The event will include lunch, a time of reflection, and input and conversation with Sarah Rudolph, IBVM NGO representative to the United Nations, on their work for gender equity and elimination of gender violence. The University of St. Michael’s College presents “Safeguarding Worldwide – Current Issues,” a lecture by Fr. Hans Zollner, SJ, Director of the Institute of Anthropology (IADC) of the Pontifical Gregorian University, This lecture will present the work at the IADC and offer insights into current safeguarding issues in the Catholic Church and beyond. It will focus on key principles for building safe spaces, safe relationships, and safe processes strengthening prevention and promoting an effective culture of care across diverse contexts worldwide. What a wonderful and eclectic feast the RSM community enjoyed at the Cultural Day Potluck last Wednesday! From Ukrainian borscht soup to Haitian goat stew to fried turon from the Philippines, the deliciousness of the food was eclipsed only by the warmth of the company.
